RPG Maker Times Cartoon Strip

The Cartoon Strip is transferring to a new home, RPG Maker Times Companion. That means that when the cartoons on this blog have been completely transferred, it’ll be deleted.

The reason for this is to consolidate all of the different blogs associated with RPG Maker, instead of having them scattered and making it much harder to update and maintain.

By the end of June, 2012, the migration should be completed. After that date, this blog will be no more! Thanks for visiting and be sure to update your bookmarks accordingly.

Over the next few days, I’ll be implementing a few psychic-related cartoons I did a while ago. These have been deposited in a faraway corner of the Internet for a long time, so now it’s time for them to become exposed. This is also a method of keeping all of the cartoons in one place and for a sense of completeness. After that, I’ll continue with the previous cartoons, especially the ongoing series already started. And I’ll be reviewing some wonderful software to allow you to create your own cartoons.

The next chapter in the new graphic novel, where our anti-hero realizes that nothing is as it should be…

This is part one of an ongoing graphic novel type short story, based loosely on an idea that’s been jangling inside my head for a while now. More chapters will be added as time goes on.

Pixton is an excellent cartoon creation site, with an array of manipulation tools at your fingertips. Virtually everything within the panes can be manipulated, including individual body parts to shift positions and expressions. Each part of the background can also be moved around.

Even with the limited free version of the site you still have a plethora of tools at your disposal. So imagine what you can do with a "Pixton+" account. And for what you actually get with that it’s actually a reasonably priced $40 for a year’s subscription.

Furthermore, for each cartoon you create and post you will receive a Credit, which then contributes towards being able to print and download your cartoon creations. The only downside to this is that if you’re not active there and don’t spend your Credits they will expire after a month (free) or a year (paid).

Despite that, however, it’s definitely worth a visit even if you’re not inspired. You can view some of the other gems that members have created.

This cartoon was created through GoAnimate. This video was originally intended as part of the Magic 101 series. Unfortunately, however, their embed code doesn’t seem to work properly, so I separated it from the series. Click on the link below to watch the video in a separate window if there’s no video below.

GoAnimate requires a Pro account to publish animations on YouTube. Maybe some time in the future I’ll upgrade and update; not at this time, though.
